Immortals Pte Ltd · Singapore

The Gym Pod

React Native Front End Developer · Full-time · Apr 2020–present

A 24/7 automated gym app with Stripe and Shopee Pay payments.

I have been the React Native front end developer on The Gym Pod for Immortals Pte Ltd since April 2020. The app is in production on iOS and Android, real users are on it, and the long-term maintenance is still mine. The LFG Pod was built in the same role.

I owned the build from an empty start. I architected the React Native app and took it from scratch through to production. The interface is a reusable, scalable component architecture: shared pieces, structured so the product can grow and later screens are not drawn again from nothing.

The services the app depends on were part of that build. I integrated Stripe and Shopee Pay, Google APIs, and the internal backend.

Backend engineers and UI/UX designers were in the work with me. I managed version control and the release cycles, and kept what goes to the App Store and Play Store clean. Unit tests live in the codebase so a change can be checked before it ships.

Once people were using it, stability became the continuing task. I set up crash monitoring with Sentry and Firebase Crashlytics. When something fails I debug it and profile performance, and that work has made the app more reliable. The maintenance that started in April 2020 is still how The Gym Pod stays up.

What I built

  • I architected the React Native app and built it from scratch through to production.
  • I designed component structures that could be reused as the app grew.
  • I integrated Stripe, Shopee Pay, Google APIs, and the internal backend.
  • I set up crash monitoring with Sentry and Firebase Crashlytics, then brought crashes down by debugging and profiling performance.
  • I worked with the backend engineers and the UI/UX designers.
  • I managed version control and the release cycles to the App Store and Google Play.
  • I write unit tests so the codebase stays clean.

PT Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Tbk

KAWAN by WOM Finance

Front End Engineer Specialist

A fintech app built to OJK regulatory standards, with fingerprint login.

I was the front end engineer specialist on KAWAN, the official customer app for WOM Finance. PT Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Tbk is a lender licensed and supervised by OJK. The app launched in February 2022 to give people contactless access to those services, and I built it and maintained it.

The financing is specific. A customer can take a multipurpose loan secured by a motorbike's or car's ownership papers (BPKB), under the Motorku and MobilKu products, or finance a new motorbike. The screens cover the nearest branch, a financing simulator, the application, installment payments, application tracking, the contract profile (Profil Kontrak), benefit points, and promos.

I owned the React Native client and the flows that stay inside OJK rules. I added fingerprint login, and I redesigned key flows so the path through those services was clearer.

A financing app has to keep working after release. I maintained the production app and fixed critical bugs, which is how KAWAN stays reliable for the people using it.

What I built

  • I built and maintained the KAWAN app.
  • I added fingerprint login.
  • I redesigned key flows in the interface.
  • I fixed critical bugs in the production app.

PT Movus Technologies

movus

Senior Front End Engineer

A vehicle-financing app with Xendit payments and Firebase.

I was the senior front end engineer on movus at PT Movus Technologies, and I owned mobile development. It is a vehicle-financing app, and alongside that it is a rent-to-own car subscription for ride-hailing drivers on Grab and Gojek in Indonesia.

The offer is for a driver who cannot get a normal car loan. They subscribe to an eco-friendly car, pay each month, and own it after about five years. Insurance, servicing, and tax renewal are included, and daily or weekly rental is offered as well.

Inside the app, getting started is four easy steps: upload a KTP and the supporting documents, pass a document check, book a survey, and choose a car. Handover follows. I built that flow in React Native.

I integrated Xendit for payments and Firebase for the client. I managed the whole lifecycle, from the spec through to the store release, so the build and the release were the same job.

After launch, stability is the Android work. I maintained the ongoing deployments, which is how fixes and updates keep reaching drivers.

What I built

  • I owned mobile development.
  • I integrated Xendit payments and Firebase.
  • I managed the app from the spec through to the store release.
  • I maintained the Android releases after launch.

PT Amber Media Sosial · Tangerang, Indonesia

Daily Act

Frontend Developer · Apr 2019–Jul 2020

A social habit-tracking app.

From April 2019 to July 2020 I was the frontend developer on Daily Act for PT Amber Media Sosial in Tangerang. It is a social habit-tracking app, and I owned the interface from the design files through to the production builds.

The UI/UX team handed over high-fidelity mockups. I translated those into pixel-perfect React Native screens, and I built the custom animations and interactive components the designs called for.

State and data sat under that interface. I added Redux to manage state, integrated the backend APIs, and kept the data handling smooth so a screen and the information on it stayed in step.

How the team worked was part of keeping the build moving. Structured development cycles cut down merge conflicts and sped up delivery, so interface work could land without people stepping on each other's changes.

Stability after release was part of the role. I supported debugging and issue resolution in the production builds, through July 2020.

What I built

  • I translated high-fidelity UI/UX mockups into pixel-perfect interfaces.
  • I built custom animations and interactive components.
  • I integrated backend APIs and kept the data handling smooth.
  • I added Redux to manage state.
  • I worked in structured development cycles, which cut down merge conflicts and sped up delivery.
  • I helped debug and resolve issues in production builds.
